Candidates applying for the B.Tech program must check the eligibility criteria set by the authority:
Candidates for admission are selected based on VITEEE marks. Students applying with JEE Main and SAT exam scores are also eligible to apply. The university will shortlist candidates for admission based on cutoff marks set by them. However, VIT Vellore does not release its cutoff list. Examinees in the top merit i.e. from 1 to 20,000 are called to participate in Phase 1 counselling on multiple dates.
During the counselling process, the seats will be allocated to the candidates based on their All India Rank and the choices filled by them. Candidates are expected to carry the following documents at the time of VITEEE Counselling.
VIT Vellore offers various UG programs such as BBA, BCA, BA, B.Sc and B.Com in various specializations. The minimum eligibility for all the courses is 10+2 from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes in VIT group of Institutions. VITEEE will be conducted between 21 and 27 April 2025 (tentatively) at designated centres across India and abroad (No. of days will vary for test cities). The duration of the examination will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. Candidates can appear only once for VITEEE-2025. All the questions will be Multiple Choice Questions and one mark for the right answer and zero for the wrong answer. There is no negative marking for wrong answers. Those who score ‘0’ in total will be declared as ‘Not qualified’ and will not be eligible to participate in the counselling process. There will be a total of 125 questions divided into the section Maths/Biology (40 questions), Physics (35 questions), Chemistry (35 questions), Aptitude (10 questions), and English (5 questions). The question paper will be in English only. The fee towards application and subsequent counselling is non-refundable. The method of Equi-percentile is adopted for the rank list preparation of VITEEE-Computer Based Examination.
